Recently SC Neftekhimproekt (Russia) has celebrated its 70th birthday. During its existence, the design team has completed design and survey work of varying complexity under several thousand contracts with customers.

The institute performed work on drawing up a "Scheme for the development and placement of reception and storage bases for chemicals for the period up to 2005", where the feasibility of building and locating facilities for the supply of chemical products, as well as experimental-industrial plants for their production, on the territory of the country was sustained (previously, chemicals were imported).

Most of the bases for chemical reagents included in the Scheme were designed by SC Neftekhimproekt (Russia). Among them are oil and gas production facilities of Western Siberia, Azneft, Aktyubinskneft, Bashneft, Komineft, Kirgizneft, Tadzhikneft, Tengizneft, Turkmenneft and Ukrneft, etc.

The Institute has completed projects for more than 100 facilities for the integrated development of oil fields, including those for Tatarstan – 49, Udmurt Republic – 21, as well as for the republics of Komi, Sakha (Yakutiya), Azerbaijan, and the regions of Western Siberia, Ulyanovsk, Irkutsk and Novosibirsk.

Oil refining units were designed for the equipment of such companies as: Ventek (USA) – for Urayneftegaz; Petrofac (USA) – for PJSC Tatnef (Russia), Tomskneft (Russia) and Antipinskiy Oil Refinery (Tyumen region); OilTools (Singapore) – for Edinaya Evropa in Mari-El (later, by the order of LLC Mariysky Oil Refinery (Russia), a project for the plant expansion with the use of technology and equipment from Koch-Glitsch was completed). Projects for expansion of bulk-cargo facilities in the commercial seaport of Ust-Lug and the coastal part of the Russian offshore oil loading facility known as Vistino, CJSC GT Morstroy (Russia, St. Petersburg), and others were completed as well.
The design of the facilities for the preparation of water and loading it into the layer at the North Rumaila oil field (Iraq) was also prepared by SC Neftekhimproekt (Russia).

The most significant units designed by Neftekhimproekt (Russia) are as follows:
